I live in the Bay Area, California, and design hardware for general-purpose home robots at Sunday Robotics, where I'm currently working on the next-generation hand. I studied Mechanical Engineering, focusing on controls and robotics, at UIUC.
Before Sunday, I worked on the Tesla Optimus humanoid, built test automation at Procter & Gamble, and led a DARPA-funded research project on mass-manufacturing synthetic hagfish skeins. I grew up in Cairo.
My goal is a satisfactory answer to life's metaphysical questions and a fulfilling life shared with the people I love. Since both are endless pursuits, problem solving and the pursuit of truth offer the most tangible progress. I also enjoy winning and living out edge cases.
